Sports wheel chairs have been designed for the younger individual who is into sports. These expensive ambulatory devices are very light weight, easy to maneuver and are portable. Many young people use these wheelchairs other than to play sports. However these sports wheel chairs are expensive. One can even get custom designed sports wheel chairs which allow for addition of better seats, and thin wheels for faster motion. For the average individual sports wheel chairs are not recommended because they are not practical, have limited space and are not for long term use.

Motorized wheelchairs have come to the rescue of millions of disabled people around the world, helping them lead a normal life. The advances in technology have meant that the ones available these days come with a host of features. They have come as a boon to those with weak upper body strength. Moreover, they are also easy to maneuver than a manual wheelchair too, making them extremely popular. The benefits of a motorized wheelchair are many and it is not surprising that they are in demand.
